Letter of the President
International Society for Holter and Non-invasive Electrocardiology (ISHNE)
It is a great pleasure and honor to serve as President of the International Society for Holter and Non-invasive Electrocardiology (ISHNE) for the period 2025-2027.
As President of this historical Society, it will be my responsibility to follow the amazing work of the last Presidents, promoting educational and investigative platforms, increasing ISHNE visibility and collaborations with multiple other Societies.
I would like to highlight the amazing work done by our Past President, Prof. Dr. Vassilios Vassilikos who devoted a huge amount of his personal time to enrich all aspects of ISHNE. Thanks, dear Vass for your dedication, expertise and an amazing annual meeting in the beautiful Thessaloniki.
The initial plan of action includes the following:
- Submission of two proposals to the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) for their 2026 annual meeting.
- Next ISHNE webinar: The ECG is ALIVE! Programmed for September 2025.
- Activation and redesign of ECG University V3.
- Collaboration with ISE for the ICE 2026, possibly in Bologna, Italy.
The current Board has representatives from North and Latin America, Europe; and Asia. We are all committed to keep expanding ISHNE to areas where we have less representation. At the same time, we advocate for inclusiveness, equity and democratic decisions supported by the current Board.
We will dedicate time to keep increasing the amount of ISHNE fellows; and to expand the ISHNE Young community, for younger colleagues, residents and fellows to actively participate in our educational sessions and online platforms.
