Dear Colleagues,

Being elected  the President is a great honor but first of all I feel a great responsibility. I am sure the members of the new Board of Trusties and Governors feel the same. I believe that WE ALL TOGETHER will work with full engagement.

Implementing our tasks will be difficult for two main reasons: the first is a great competition from European and American societies and the second is the financial crisis. We should  keep in mind  our traditions but we must also  take into account the dynamic twenty-first century technological progress. ISHNE development and especially improving its financial condition needs not only being opened to modern technologies but also creating a very efficient information campaign.

THE KEY WORDS  of my presidency are: tradition, progress, flexibility and information.

On taking the post of ISHNE President I defined the mission of our society in 2013-2015 as follows:

INTERDISCIPLINARITY

We should create an interdisciplinary didactic and discussion forum for invasive and non-invasive cardiologists, other physicians (internists, diabetologists, neurologists, oncologists), mathematicians, physicists, and technicians.

IMPLEMENTATION OF TELEMEDICINE INTO ISHNE ACTIVITY

My aim is to make everybody connote ISHNE with telemedicine, which combines numerous fields in cardiology and facilitates activities both in noninvasive and invasive cardiology. That is why I believe the word “telemedicine” should be included in our logo as soon as possible.

 INVIGORATION OF COOPERATION WITH NATIONAL SOCIETIES

I hope for effective cooperation with the Governors. In each country, we have to win  supporters and followers . Let's start ISHNE corners at national and local congresses.

All this is created to:

ATTRACT NEW MEMBERS  

ATTRACT YOUNG PEOPLE

One of our main concerns should be  to continue and develop the Annals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology. Naturally we will continue all our traditional activities especially in educational field.

We should  be where others were not to achieve what others cannot reach. If we all do our best we are bound to succeed.
