Greetings from the president

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Prof. Takanori Ikeda I am extremely honored to serve as President of the International Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology (ISHNE) for the term of 2021-2023. I recognize that this is a huge privilege and a very big responsibility. I would like to demonstrate leadership with my best effort.

I believe that the ISHNE is excellent society in the field of non-invasive electrocardiology and actively doing academic works. Following activity by Past Presidents and Board Officers/Members, I would like to maintain the same level of activities and promote the status of the ISHNE with current BOT Officers/Members for the term 2021-2023. This time, 6 new BOT Members joined our society. I expect all BOT members contribute to activity of our society.

These years, everything including congress has been inhibited by COVID19 pandemic. I would like to wish everyone to have their healthy life, and to gradually get back previous state. Although our Congress “International Congress on Electrocardiology (ICE) 2021” was held as virtual meeting in Poland. The congress was so successful with many participants. I hope next ICE congress will be similarly successful.

At present, we have tight partnership with the ISE (International Society of Electrocardiology). I will maintain this nice relationship in the future. In addition, I will also maintain good relationship with cardiology/arrhythmia-related societies such as HRS (Heart Rhythm Society), EHRA (European Heart Rhythm Association), APHRS (Asia Pacific HRS), LAHRS (Latin American HRS), etc. In addition, recently joint sessions with other societies are increased. I would like to maintain such a nice relationship providing interesting topics regarding ECG and arrhythmias.

All the work cannot do by only me. I need help of BOT Officers/Members, particularly President-Elect (Prof. Vassilios Vassilikos), Vice President (Prof. Adrian Baranchuk), and Immediate Past President (Prof. Iwona Cygankiewicz). In my term, I newly created some committees such as Fellowship Committee, Education Committee, Scientific Documents Committee, and Global Relations Committee in our society. These committees will facilitate the further management of the society by immediately responding to various affairs inside and outside the society. Moreover, I would like to increase the number of our fellows from world regions, particularly young fellows. This is quite important to promote our society.

Finally, please attend ICE 2023 Congress that will be held in Sapporo, Japan on July 6-8th, organized by President Takanori Ikeda. I look forward to seeing you all there!

ICE 2021 – Virtual Congress
April 15th-17th 2021

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is a pleasure to invite you to the International Congress of Electrocardiology, one of the most prestigious electrocardiology meetings. ICE 2021 will be provided as a joint meeting of the 21th Congress of the International Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology (ISHNE) and the 48th Congress of the International Society of Electrocardiology (ISE) which will be held together with the 27th Congress of the Working Group on Noninvasive Electrocardiology and Telemedicine of the Polish Cardiac Society.

This year for the first time we will not meet in-person at ICE Congress. Our plans to invite you to Zakopane, the capital of the Polish mountains, had to be changed as a result of the unprecedented time of the pandemic. Nonetheless, we believe that attendees will enjoy three invigorating days of education teeming with new learning and networking opportunities and we trust that you will benefit from our unique, virtual meeting. We encourage ECG enthusiasts to join the network and enjoy the world of electrocardiology brought together while listening to our experts discussing the challenges in the world of arrhythmias. As the last year has significantly changed both our lives and clinical practice, the challenges related to mHealth, particularly in arrhythmia settings, will be broadly discussed.

ICE Congresses have always been a great opportunity to discuss the most up-to-date issues in contemporary electrocardiology, and, although organised in a unique form, this year’s Congress will live up to its standard of both exciting and informative scientific event. This time ECG experts from around the world will join the virtual webinars to debate the advances in ECG diagnostics and treatment.

The congress is being held from 15th to 17th April 2021. The scientific program as well as Abstract submission and Young Investigator Award submission sites will be available soon. Registration for this year’s event is free.

We look forward to seeing you in virtual reality!

ECG University Course Version 2

Dear Friends, Dear Colleagues

On behalf of myself and the Directors of the ECG University: Dr Jonathan Sterinberg, Dr Sergio Dubner and Dr Adrian Baranchuk, it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the new edition of ECG University that has been launched recently. The first edition was focused on case- based ECG training reflecting a variety of abnormal ECG patterns. In the second part we would like to let you familiarize yourselves with ECGs in patients with implantable devices. Following the first part format, our experts will comment on ECGs seen in various clinical case scenarios. We hope that this advanced course will attract at least as many visitors and the previous one. Importantly, this free course will provide a brief exam and the certificate of course completion. Log in to pass the exam or simply enjoy interesting cases!
